I’ve had a weekend away. Stealing a ride on a noisy beast with two wheels, I took temporary residence at a friend’s house, where we drank beer, committed dozens of felonies, went fishing, played tennis with alien clones, learned of the indecipherable temperance of motion sensitive products and watched the Fuzz get Hot. Fun was had, but a late night and some challenging digestional accomplishments later and I’m glad to have my place back and some good food in my stomach. I’ve caught up with Kita as well, who was also on a weekend excursion and ex-communicae for that period. I missed her a lot.
The drawing I started idly colouring on Friday is coming along and I intend to do a little more soon. I know I have a lot to learn about colouring, drawing and Corel Painter 9, but I am trying and I should damn well try harder if I ever want to get these comics made. So above you can see what I have done so far in an effort to spur myself on and finish it tonight. If I can stay awake long enough.
I also watched a news report on the secretive aid efforts in Burma. It’s amazing the arrogance of the government there, refusing help and risking lives because they fear any contact with the West will poison the minds of their oppressed people. ‘Tis crazy, and just reminds me why I rarely watch the news.
